CHOOSING THE RIGHT JOB

Determining what jobs to work for the day depends on a variety of factors. To make this process easier, your team will hold daily whiteboard meetings where the Account Managers will share information on all open job orders. These whiteboard meetings are extremely beneficial, allowing you the chance to gather as much information as necessary to be able to effectively determine what jobs you will work.

When determining what jobs to work for the day, consider the following:

New Job Orders – In most cases, being one of the first recruiters to submit a candidate to a new job can be a great way to provide support to the account manager and increase your chances of getting a send out.

Jobs Getting Send Outs – Hearing that a job order is getting timely feedback and interview requests (send outs) is a great indicator that you should be working that job. Part of the battle in recruiting is determining if a job order is legitimate or not, and there is no better way to answer that than a client starting to schedule interviews. There is nothing wrong with changing your plan and switching gears to work a hot job.

Job Orders From Proven Clients – There are certain clients that have a proven track record of hiring ISGF candidates. When a job order from one of these clients opens, we need to submit candidates to that job as fast as we can. How will you know who these clients are? Everyone on your team will tell you.

Jobs From VMS Clients – VMS accounts are extremely hard to come by, coveted in the world of staffing, and make up a significant portion of ISGF’s annual revenue. Some of our VMS clients hold us to specific metrics. Falling below these metrics puts ISGF in jeopardy of falling into a non-compliant status and losing the account; potentially losing the firm millions of dollars in annual revenue. When job orders are released from these clients it is important that we submit as many candidates as needed to comply with the terms of the contract.

Job Order Information – All of the information you need to be able to effectively recruit for an open job can be found in bullhorn under the job record. In the job record, you should see pay rate, bill rate, job description, job requirements, location, interview steps, etc. If you are told that a job is a “hot job” but don’t see this information in the job record, ask the account manager why this information has not been inputted or updated.
