COMPANY & JOB DETAILS

Sometimes the candidate will want to know details of the role and company before they start telling you about their background. Most times the Account Manager for the client will provide a company sizzle and a job sizzle that highlights what makes this opportunity such an attractive offer. The Account Manager will let you know or have notes documented in Bullhorn if the role is confidential. If not, you are permitted to release the name of the company, just be cautious.

Should you lack confident in the intentions of your candidate, it is best to withhold the company name until you know you will be submitting them to the client. This lessens the risk that the candidate will either:

  • Go around you and contact the client directly
  • Use you to gather our client’s information for the purpose of relaying that information to a competitor. 

After you go into detail on the specifics of the role and company confirm with the candidate that they are in fact interested in the position. This will help you gauge their level of interest.
