ISGF History

Brothers Joselito C. Salas and Bienvenido C. Salas, Jr. along with friend Rich Rahn founded Systems Network Services (SNS) in Chicago, IL.  Joselito & Rich, both computer programmers at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and Bienvenido a computer programmer at Allstate Insurance saw the need for highly qualified information technology talent.  With an initial investment of $20,000 borrowed from their parents, a direct hire recruiting firm was founded and consummated by the first placement at Brach’s Candies by Bienvenido Salas in the amount of $15,000.

With the profits from Systems Network Services (SNS), brothers Joselito and Bienvenido Salas decided to partner together and fouinded Innovative Systems Group.

While still working their full-time jobs and working full-time at Innovative Systems Group, the brothers hired their first two employees, a Technical Recruiter and Office Administrator.  It wasn’t long before the first placements were made after acquiring a contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.

The brothers had onboarded additional clients which included the American Medical Association, Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company, First Health, Northern Trust Bank, Harris Bank and Navistar Financial Corporation; just to name a few.

The business grew to 20 Consultants on Billing and over $2 million in annual revenue.

Joselito decided it was time to resign his post at BCBS IL and focus 100 percent of his time on growing Innovative Systems Group.

The contractor base had grown to 50 consultants on billing with revenues exceeding $6 million.  Bienvenido resigned his post at Allstate Insurance to concentrate full-time on ISG’s recruiting and administration.  The brothers recruited then IT Manager at Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL, Dan Burns, to join the ownership as Vice President of Sales.

On June 4, 1996, Innovative Systems Group launched Innovative Systems Group of Florida, Inc. located at E. Sybelia Avenue in Maitland, FL with the help of new owner Michael Forman who was local to Florida.  The office started with a total of 3 employees; Branch Manager, Office Administrator, and a Sales/Account Manager.  The new venture opened the doors to new client relationships with companies like CSX, American Automobile Association (AAA), and Attorney’s Title Insurance (The Fund).  In 1996, Innovative Systems Group placed it’s first candidate with CSX in Jacksonville, FL.

Bienvenido and his family relocated to Orlando, FL to manage the Florida operations.

Under Bienvenido’s management, the Florida operation grew to $1 million in gross revenues and 10 consultants on billing, making placements with new clients Litton Laser, Northrop Grumman, CNA, Darden, and London Bridge.

Michael Forman’s equity ownership was bought back by the organization.

As part of an overall business strategy, Innovative Systems Group of Florida, Inc. became a subsidiary of ISG as opposed to a wholly owned division.

Under the leadership of Bienvenido, the Florida entity grew to 20 consultants on billing with revenues upwards of $2 Million dollars in annual revenue.

Throughout the following years, the Florida operations worked diligently to bring on new clients like Harris Corporation, Lockheed Martin and won a major contract as a Primary Vendor for Charles Schwab.  The new contract grew the candidate base to 40 consultants on billing and corresponding growth in revenues to $4.5 million in revenue.

Innovative Systems Group of Florida, Inc. relocated it’s Florida operations from Maitland, FL to Downtown Orlando at 150 N. Orange Avenue.   Mr. Dan Burns chose to follow his dreams to become a fiction writer and his ownership of both ISG and ISGF were purchased back by the organization.

The Florida operations relocated it’s offices to 201 S. Orange Avenue in the Seaside Bank building.  Mr. Thomas Bryan, after sale of his ownership in Stratigi Staffing, began working with Innovative Systems Group of Florida, Inc. In 2011, brothers Joselito Salas and Bienvenido Salas decided that a separation from each other was imminent due to irreparable differences.

We continue to work with CSX and Florida Blue as a result of the high-quality service we provide. In fact, the recruiting industry continues to grow.
