This is a red flag that is more worrisome depending on the region of the U.S. that the candidate is located. In certain areas of the U.S., like the north-east and the north-west, it can be perfectly normal for people to commute in excess of over an hour just to get to work. But, in other areas like the south-east, this would be more of a concern. The concern is that the candidate would quickly get tired of the drive and start looking for a position closer to home.
