The ISGF interview is one of the most important steps in the recruiting process. The purpose of this interview is to thoroughly vet out aspects that truly matter to your candidate. Conducting a proper interview will help you best represent your candidate and subsequently best serve the client. An interview form is provided in Bullhorn to help walk you through the process.
When you conduct a thorough interview, you will know everything necessary about your candidate, be able to position them properly, and most importantly have the trust and rapport needed to be able to control that candidate.
A preferred method for interviewing a candidate is to discuss the candidate’s resume in reverse chronological order. Doing this will show the progression between positions and allow the candidate to discuss job transitions. If a candidate has a lengthy resume, discuss all relevant positions to the one you are recruiting for or the positions held over the past ten years.
