The Recruiting Industry is not just a team or internal function within a business. In this course you will learn about agency recruiting and how it differs from corporate recruiting.

INTRODUCTION

Recruiting is the process of finding the best-qualified candidate for a job opening within a company. In other words, companies (clients) hire us to help fill difficult positions within their organizations. We do this by searching for candidates that possess the skills necessary to meet or exceed the minimum qualifications required to perform the job.

There are many reasons why companies ask for our assistance to help fill open roles. Every business, when hiring new staff, is confronted with unique issues that make us a logical solution. Below are some of the most common issues companies face when hiring new employees.

• Hiring is expensive and time consuming
• Too many candidates on the market
• Not enough candidates on the market
• Lack of direct industry experience in potential candidates

That’s where we come in. We actively seek to partner with companies that are challenged with filling open positions and hunt down candidates with the right skills and qualities to fill those roles. Recruiting is essentially a sales process where we negotiate the following:

• Securing fee agreements with organizations to fill their open positions
• Searching for candidates and securing an authorization to represent them as an applicant for our clients
• Facilitating negotiations throughout the interview process with clients and candidates so they both can reach a mutually beneficial agreement on employment terms
