INTERVIEW DEBRIEF

A bit quicker but just as important as the candidate prep, the debrief gives you time to discussing the happening of the interview with your candidate. This discussion helps you determine your candidates level of interest, gauge the probability of next steps, and relay valuable information back to your team.

THE INTERVIEW DEBRIEF CHECKLIST

In the ever-ongoing effort to stay as constant as posable, ISGF has created a covenant debrief checklist to help gather all necessary information from your candidate. Use this for during every interview debrief to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

THE THANK YOU LETTER

After the interview, instruct your candidate to type a thank you letter. The thank you letter should be addressed to the interviewer and include something specific about the interview and kept between two and three paragraphs. Instruct the candidate to email the thank you letter within 24 hours of the interview. After receiving the email, proof its contents and send it to the Account Manager who will forward it to the Client.

Contents of the Letter

  • Thank the interviewer for their time
  • Mention something specific to the interview that you enjoyed
  • Restate your interest in the job
  • Address any concerns the interviewer may have voiced during the interview and directly state how you have what it takes to be successful in the role
  • Include small details you learned about the interviewer, the opportunity, and the company
