SCRUBBING A RESUME

Lesson Progress
0% Complete

At times you may come across stellar talent; someone who has highly desired skills and experience. When this happens, it is ideal to scrub their resume and remove personal identifiable information. We do this so we can, “bring them to market”.

Bringing a candidate to market is the process of contacting businesses with open positions with requirements that match the skills of the MPC candidate.

*NOTE: You’ll learn the MPC Sales Strategy later in the training.

To scrub a resume you’ll need to complete the following:

  1. Copy the content of an existing resume to the ISGF letterhead
  2. Remove the following candidate identifiable information:
    1. Name – Replace with “CONFIDENTIAL”
    1. Address – Replace with Greater (City) Area
    1. Personal Websites – Remove
    1. Company Name – Replace with “CONFIDENTIAL”
      1. Remove any identifiable company information and replace with a generic term or phrase within the industry
    1. Education:
      1. Remove Years
      1. Special Projects – Replace with “Special Project” or something similar

A sample of the scrubbed resume is available by downloading the file listed below. The ISGF Resume Letterhead is also available for download.
